Artificial Turf Cost by Product Grade
The single biggest variable in artificial turf cost is product grade — and grade is not just about pile height or face weight. In Florida's Gulf Coast climate, grade also means UV stabilization level and salt-air specification. Here's the full breakdown from entry-level inland residential to luxury Gulf-front coastal grade.
Entry Residential (Polypropylene)
Inland suburban only. Not recommended for coastal Florida or direct sun.
Premium Residential (Polyethylene)
Inland suburban — east Tampa, Lakewood Ranch, Parrish, Bee Ridge.
Premium Coastal-Adjacent (Polyethylene)
Near-coastal mainland — Sarasota west of 41, Clearwater, St. Petersburg.
Coastal Grade (Polyethylene, salt-air treated)
Barrier islands — Siesta Key, AMI, St. Pete Beach, Clearwater Beach.
Luxury Gulf-Front (Highest-density polyethylene)
Gulf-front estates — Longboat Key, direct waterfront, highest spec.
Key Notes
- All pricing is installed — material + labor + standard site prep (no concrete removal)
- Polypropylene is not recommended for any Florida outdoor application due to UV degradation
- Grade determines warranty length: entry = 8–10 yrs, luxury = 18–20 yrs
- Face weight ranges: entry 40–50 oz, premium 55–65 oz, coastal/luxury 65–80 oz
